Who We Are
Building Protection Systems has been supplying quality products to UK businesses since 2009. What started as a small family operation in Birmingham has grown into a trusted supplier serving over 3,500 businesses nationwide — from sole traders and small workshops to national manufacturers and public sector organisations.
We pride ourselves on doing things the right way: sourcing products responsibly, treating every customer as a partner, and standing behind everything we sell.
Our History
2009 — Founded by the Clarke family in a small unit in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham, with just 12 product lines and a determination to offer fairer pricing to local businesses.
2013 — Moved to our current 12,000 sq ft warehouse facility to meet growing demand. Introduced same-day dispatch for orders placed before 2pm.
2016 — Achieved ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, formalising the quality processes we’d been following since day one.
2020 — Launched our online catalogue and expanded our range to over 800 product lines across 14 categories.
Today — We continue to invest in stock depth, logistics infrastructure, and our team to keep delivery times fast and service quality high.
What We Do Differently
We hold the stock
We don’t dropship or rely on third-party fulfilment. Every product we sell is physically held in our Birmingham warehouse, which means we can honestly commit to same-day dispatch and next-day delivery.
We know our products
Our team includes former engineers, facilities managers, and procurement specialists. When you call us, you speak to someone who genuinely understands what you need — not a script-reader.
We offer fair pricing
We don’t operate “recommended retail price” games. Our pricing reflects what the product is worth, and we offer transparent volume discounts for trade accounts without the need to negotiate each time.
